COLUMBIA — Memorial Mass for Sarah Herrera Brazell, 86, will be celebrated Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be in St. Williams Catholic Church cemetery at a later date. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.Mrs. Brazell, wife of the late John Curtis Brazell, Sr., died Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Born in San Antonio, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Albert C. and Sarah Herrera. Mrs. Brazell was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.Surviving are a son, John C. Brazell, Jr. and his wife, Kathryn of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Sarah Padgett and her husband, Fred of Columbia; a sister, Evelyn Lozano of Camp Springs, Md.; seven grandchildren, John A. Brazell and his wife, Michelle, Michael J. Garcia and his wife, Kathryn, Raymond “Chris” Garcia and his wife, Annette, Seth Brazell, Tres Brazell, Michael J. Leslie and Christian W. Padgett; and three great-grandchildren, Emily and Dillon Garcia and Matthew Mathias.
